Data methodology

Operator universe. RollupIntel starts with the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) commercial structural pest control licence file: every business licensed to operate structurally in Texas. This is the authoritative source for operator identity and licence status, and it is the only source we treat as authoritative without corroboration.

What we store. Only fields the licence file publishes: legal entity, DBA, licence number, status, service categories, county, responsible applicator, and issue and expiry dates. The registry contains no revenue, employee count, or phone number, so we publish none. Records are deduplicated by licence number, because the published export repeats some rows.

Derived fields. One value is computed rather than read: licence status. The file records an expiry date rather than a status flag, so we compare that date against the refresh date to mark a licence active or expired. Nothing else is inferred.

Acquirer profiles. Buyer behaviour is described from public disclosure, such as announced transactions and filed ownership structures. Where a private company has not disclosed something, we say it is not disclosed rather than estimating it. Deal lists are representative, not exhaustive, because most tuck-in acquisitions are never announced.
